I am already 16 days into 2019 and I am making changes and getting things done. I worked on my list of to-dos for the whole month of December. I set my intentions for the year and have been working to make some a habit already.

Reality check-in; I feel myself resisting some of the things I want to get rolling this year. First, I want to do a blog post once a week. I’m a week behind, brush off and start fresh. Second, it is my intention to make stretching and cardio a priority 3-4X per week, behind but brush it off! I am almost finished with my stairway project that has been on my list for months (OK, 6 months). VERY good, big thing that has been hanging over my head.

Here is a list of some of the other things I set intentions/goals for in 2019:

  • Save $500/month and track
  • Make $100/month on my blog
  • Get at least 7 hours of sleep each night
  • Track my spending
  • Digitize my old photos/kids’ papers (many steps to this)
  • 3 alcohol free days/week
  • Complete blog courses by February
  • Get all my DIY projects on my blog
  • Play with affiliate marketing
  • Review (and write about) more items I use in my home, on my body, and take into my body
  • Read at least 12 books this year (I am going to keep a list this year)
  • Reduce my clutter until I don’t have any left

I don’t like procrastination and I do like accountability. I’m thinking for 2019 I should track my progress here on the blog. I could write a ton more stuff on all things I want to do, but in reality, I just need to start. Here goes for my first 2019 check-in!

Week 1 and 2: Four dry days, started stairway project, slept 7 hours 6 nights, cleared out some leggings, turtlenecks, jewelry, organized bedding, painted 3rd bedroom, got my investment accounts set-up, paid for some blogging courses, got electrical work done, paid off credit card, reorganized bathroom supplies, cleaned out the fridge, and created a last will/testament. I went to work everyday!

Morning Complete, 4 months https://surrendertoserendipity.com/2018/09/17/morning-complete-4-months/ Mon, 17 Sep 2018 16:43:07 +0000 https://surrendertoserendipity.com/?p=266 Continue Reading →]]> I’m writing this post because one of my most viewed posts were the ones for Morning Complete. I can say I have been happy for four months with my choice to continue taking Morning Complete. I drink my glass within 60 minutes of waking (before 6:30 am on weekdays). I don’t feel like I skipped breakfast and I usually have my coffee and cream around 9 am.

Some days I do feel very hungry before lunch time. I’m not sure why this is, but it does happen. I eat a handful of almonds or have a string cheese. I generally eat low carb so these are my go to. My coffee has a good dose of cream that helps give me calories and keep the jitters down from caffeine on an empty tummy. I eat lunch between 1-2 pm depending on if I had a snack and when I take my walk. Amount of dinner is dependent on what I had for lunch and how much work I had to do when I got home.

Things to note:

  • I didn’t start this program for weight loss. I could stand to lose 10 pounds, but who doesn’t. I am happy with my size and don’t even own a scale or weigh on a regular basis. If my clothes feel good and I feel good….all is good!
  • I eat low carb most of the time. I don’t deny myself something yummy when I really want it. It is a lifestyle but I am not militant about it (unless I need to drop some weight after holidays/vacation).
  • I stopped going to the gym about the same time I started using Morning Complete. This was due to tons of work I needed to do on my house remodel. My joints and back/hip haven’t bothered me much but it could be due to other factors. I do get a decent amount of exercise and rarely sit except for during working hours.

Conclusion; I have decided to stay on Morning Complete for several reasons. First, I enjoy not being reliant on breakfast and still feeling satisfied. I don’t have to cook breakfast! Time saver, woohoo! Second, I feel good, plain and simple. I’m 49 and that is a huge plus. Lastly, I feel the science behind the product is good.

2 weeks on Morning Complete https://surrendertoserendipity.com/2018/06/04/2-weeks-on-morning-complete/ Mon, 04 Jun 2018 21:09:14 +0000 https://surrendertoserendipity.com/?p=198 Continue Reading →]]> I have been two weeks without breakfast. As a die hard breakfast eater, what can I say? I usually eat breakfast as soon as I wake up. I even sit at the table to eat breakfast. That routine is gone. I don’t have to make breakfast in the morning now and I am not starving! Maybe it is all the good stuff in ActivatedYou Morning Complete. This weekend I noticed I do some habit eating. I’m kind of hungry and I just want to eat something. This is not the kind of eating I want to do.

The word is; I feel good drinking this for breakfast. I don’t feel crazy by 7 am, I don’t feel like I must have a cup of coffee, and don’t feel like I am going to faint from going without food. A side effect is that I don’t have to make breakfast! I save some time and breakfast money goes toward product. Win/win and I will see how great I feel when another week goes by!
